A winner for three consecutive years of Family Circle Magazine's "Family Resorts of the Year"! 1990, 1991 and 1992 Family Circle conducted a contest to select the best family vacations in the United States. Scott Valley was honored by being selected all three years. Also, Family Circle did not continue this program after 1992.

Scott Valley was one of three ranches featured on "Live with Regis & Kathi Lee" - selected from author, Eugene Kilgore's book, Ranch Vacations.

In all three editions of Gene Kilgore's Ranch Vacations. They are featured on page 30 of the Third Edition which was published in 1994 and lists details about Scott Valley and also color photos of the ranch are shown on page 188.

Pat Dickerman's 40th Anniversary Edition of Farm, Ranch & Country Vacations. We are featured on pages 33 and 34 of this 1989 publication. We were also featured on pages 26 and 27 of their 1986 edition.

Pat Dickerman's 1995 edition of Farm, Ranch & Country Vacations in America of which we are featured on page 131.

Senior Highlights monthly publication in August, 1995 contained an article titled, "Stir Up Some Magic with Grand kids - Visit a Dude Ranch!" which was on page 26 of their travel section written by Jamie Jo Thaemert.

Best Places to Stay in the South by Carol Timblin. This 1994 second edition included Scott Valley and is acknowledged as one of the best guides of the market.

Scott Valley Resort & Guest Ranch was chosen to be profiled in the Guest Ranch sections of the new adventure travel books "In Search of Fun".

Good Housekeeping's April, 1993 edition featuring an article titled. "Ranches - Ride On!" Again, Scott Valley is featured. The article states, "These ranches have plenty of wide-open spaces and horses galore - but they're not just for horseback riding anymore. They also offer most of the same leisure activities as resorts - but at more affordable prices. One of the best family vacation buys is the Scott Valley Guest Ranch in Mountain Home, Arkansas ... It is owned and operated by Kathleen and Tom Cooper who are gaining a reputation for their down-home hospitality as well as their very affordable prices".

Travel America Magazine has had several articles on travel and/or dude ranches and Scott Valley Resort & Guest Ranch has been featured several times of which the latest is in their April, 1996 edition. Kathleen Cooper, owner and manager along with her husband Tom, was quoted, "There are so many variations in ranches that people should decide what kind of experience they want and then find the ranch that fits their needs."

Fantastic Family Gatherings: Tried and True Ideas for Large and Small Family Reunions. On page 6 we are quoted about the advantages of holding reunions at a ranch such as ours. This book was released in May, 1995 and was written by Kathy Smith Anthenat.

Scott Valley Resort & Guest Ranch was featured in Laura Sutherland's The Best Bargain Family Vacation in the U. S. A. which was published by St. Martin's Press. The book contains the best places for families to stay who are traveling on a budget and looking for good vacation values. We will again be included in their newest edition which is due to be released in late 1996 or early 1997.

Family Fun Magazine's April, 1995 edition featuring an article entitled Family Traveler, What's new, what's great, what's a deal - vacation news for families on the go. This article states, "The Ozarks may not be cowboy country, but they are home to one of the best dude ranch deals around."

Great Vacations With Your Kids by Dorothy Jordon and Marjorie Cohen contains an article and information about Scott Valley Resort and Guest Ranch that explains how the ranch is family oriented and where parents and their children can have all kinds of fun together.

Great Destinations, a special section of The Sun Newspapers, April 1996, featured an article on Scott Valley emphasizing "we are an all-inclusive package vacation in the truest sense," The article on the ranch is titled "Relax on the Ranch" and starts with the statement "This year promise yourself your vacation will be different". And the article continues...

Travel America, May/June, 1996 issue, Scott Valley Resort & Guest Ranch is mentioned on page 44. The article states, 'For family fun near the little town of Mountain Home, Arkansas, mosey over to Scott Valley Resort & Guest Ranch and stay a while. Activities include horseback riding, cookouts, hay rides, all kinds of sports, and hiking through meadows and woodlands. And the article continues listing the amenities of the ranch.

Kathleen Cooper, in May, 1996, was awarded the honor of being named as Distinctive Destinations Advisory Board Member of the national Getaways Magazine.

The latest publication, Intrepid Arkansas Traveler, Scott Valley Resort & Guest Ranch is featured in the North-Central/Eastern Ozarks Entertainment, Recreation and Attractions section.

The Baxter Bulletin Publication, 1996 Edition of Day Trippin'. Scott Valley is featured on page 9 with an article titled, Plenty of Activities Available for Horse Enthusiasts. The article begins, "For some 42 years, Scott Valley has provided full-service family oriented vacations for visitors from around the world."
